So, we’ve called the new one “Jem”. It’s not short for anything although I understand that “Jem” is a name that is used as a shortening of variously Jacob,James,Jeremy,John.
Of course, having given him the name we subsequently learn (testement I guess to how culturally barren we are) that there is a a pop star (female) that shares the name. No doubt we will discover other namesakes.
If you’re a doting relative you might like this one as well.

Not a doting relative, but the pictures are DIVINE! Max looks thrilled with Jem. Better than trains even??!
